Ship Arrival
Your tour begins at Paihia Cruise Port, where your guide will meet you and take you on an exciting tour through the beautiful Bay of Islands region. The first stop will be the stunning Rainbow Falls, where you can visit three scenic viewing platforms, offering fantastic photo opportunities of the falls. Makana Chocolate Factory and Kauri Workshop
Next, head to the renowned Makana Chocolate Factory, where you’ll have the opportunity to sample their delicious handmade chocolates. You’ll also have time to visit the Kauri Workshop, a local shop offering handcrafted items and collectibles.
Kerikeri Mission Station
Continue on to the historic Kerikeri Mission Station, established in 1819. Here, you’ll visit two key landmarks: the Stone Store, built in 1832, which was originally used as a warehouse for the Missionary Society, and the nearby Kemp House, New Zealand's oldest building, completed in 1821, or early 1822. On a guided tour, you’ll learn about the fascinating history of both sites and their role in New Zealand’s early European settlement.
Pub Lunch at Plough and Feather
While at the Mission Station, stop at the Plough and Feather pub to enjoy a delicious lunch, along with a glass of locally made beer or wine.
Waitangi Look-out Loop
The final stop on this memorable tour is the Waitangi Look-out Loop, where you’ll have the chance to take in breathtaking views of Waitangi, Russell, and the Bay of Islands. Capture some stunning photos before returning to the port.
