Petra - The Rose-Red City
Travel comfortably for about 1.5 hours across the desert landscapes of southern Jordan before reaching Petra, one of the New Seven Wonders of the World. Begin your exploration at the Petra Visitor Center and walk through the Siq Canyon, a stunning gorge that stretches 1,200 meters with cliffs rising over 80 meters high. As the narrow passage opens, the grandeur of the Treasury (Al-Khazneh) comes into view, an unforgettable sight that leaves every traveler in awe.
Your local guide will lead you through Petra’s highlights, including the Royal Tombs, Roman Theater, and Colonnaded Street, while sharing stories of the Nabataean civilization that carved this city into sandstone cliffs over 2,000 years ago. After lunch, embark on a 1.5-hour drive to Wadi Rum, a vast desert landscape famous for its crimson dunes, sandstone mountains, and cinematic views. Known as the “Valley of the Moon,” Wadi Rum inspired the legendary Lawrence of Arabia and continues to mesmerize visitors with its silence and grandeur.
Hop aboard a 4x4 Jeep for an exhilarating off-road ride through the desert, passing through canyons, dunes, and ancient rock inscriptions left by early civilizations. Capture photos of this otherworldly terrain before heading back toward Aqaba.
Return to Port
