Gyokusendo Cave at Okinawa World

Begin with a visit to Gyokusendo Cave, an impressive limestone cave located within Okinawa World. Follow the illuminated underground walkway past remarkable stalactites, stalagmites and natural rock formations shaped over hundreds of thousands of years.

Enjoy the cool underground environment as your guide introduces the cave’s geological features. The route includes steps and damp surfaces, so comfortable, non-slip walking shoes are recommended.

Shuri Castle

Continue to Shuri Castle, the former royal centre of the Ryukyu Kingdom and part of Okinawa’s UNESCO-listed cultural heritage. Explore the castle park, admire its distinctive gates and traditional architectural details, and learn about the kingdom’s political and cultural history.

Your guide will also explain the castle’s ongoing restoration following the 2019 fire. Access to individual buildings and viewing areas may vary according to the restoration schedule.

Tamaudun Royal Mausoleum

Visit Tamaudun, the royal mausoleum constructed for the rulers of the Ryukyu Kingdom. Walk through its stone-walled grounds and admire the traditional Okinawan masonry used to create this historically significant resting place.

Naha Kokusai Dori Shopping Street

Return to Naha Port
