Ship Arrival

Mount Maunganui & Papamoa Coastal Drive
Travel past the beautiful beaches of Mount Maunganui and Papamoa, two coastal areas often regarded among the finest beach destinations in the country. Enjoy sweeping ocean views as your driver provides commentary along the way.
Minden Lookout
Weather permitting, continue to Minden Lookout for a panoramic view over the Tauranga coastline. This elevated viewpoint offers excellent photo opportunities across the harbor, coastline, and surrounding countryside.
Katikati Mural Town Experience
Arrive in Katikati, a charming town celebrated for its impressive collection of outdoor murals and public artworks. More than 60 colorful murals decorate the walls of buildings and streets, telling stories of local history, culture, and community life.
Guests may choose to join one of the town’s regular guided mural walks (available locally for a small additional fee) or explore independently at a relaxed pace. In addition to murals, the town features sculptures, carvings, mosaics, and textile artworks displayed throughout public spaces.
Free Time in Katikati
Take time to relax at a local café and enjoy a coffee or refreshment while soaking up the friendly small-town atmosphere.
Scenic Photo Stop & Return to Port
Before returning to the cruise ship, stop at Sulphur Point or Kulim Park for a memorable photo opportunity featuring your cruise ship with Mount Maunganui as the backdrop. Afterward, return comfortably to Tauranga Cruise Port in plenty of time for departure.
