Meet your professional English-speaking guide at Shimizu Port and board a comfortable, air-conditioned coach. As the tour begins, your guide will share the cultural and spiritual significance of Mount Fuji, setting the stage for a scenic and meaningful experience.
Your first stop is the lush Nihondaira Plateau. From here, take a short ropeway ride over the treetops to Kuno-zan Toshogu Shrine, the peaceful mountaintop resting place of Tokugawa Ieyasu, founder of the Tokugawa Shogunate. Admire the shrine’s rich Edo-period architecture and enjoy stunning views of Mount Fuji and the Pacific coastline.
Return by ropeway to visit Nihondaira Yume Terrace, a modern observation deck designed by Kengo Kuma. From 307 meters above sea level, take in panoramic views of Mount Fuji, Suruga Bay, and the Southern Alps. Interactive displays inside the terrace offer insights into the region’s natural and cultural heritage.
Next, travel to Miho-no-Matsubara, a coastal pine grove stretching over seven kilometers. This World Heritage Site has inspired Japanese poetry and art for centuries. Enjoy a peaceful stroll under the pines with views of Mount Fuji in the distance. If time permits, visit S-Pulse Dream Plaza, a lively waterfront complex featuring local shops and restaurants.
