FULL ITINERARY
Meet your professional English-speaking guide at Shimizu Port and board a comfortable, air-conditioned coach. As the tour begins, your guide will share the cultural and spiritual significance of Mount Fuji, setting the stage for a scenic and meaningful experience.
Your first stop is the lush Nihondaira Plateau. From here, take a short ropeway ride over the treetops to Kuno-zan Toshogu Shrine, the peaceful mountaintop resting place of Tokugawa Ieyasu, founder of the Tokugawa Shogunate. Admire the shrine’s rich Edo-period architecture and enjoy stunning views of Mount Fuji and the Pacific coastline.
Return by ropeway to visit Nihondaira Yume Terrace, a striking modern observation deck designed by renowned architect Kengo Kuma. Situated 307 meters above sea level, the terrace offers expansive views over Suruga Bay, the city of Shizuoka, and the surrounding natural scenery. Interactive exhibits inside provide deeper insight into the region’s geography, history, and cultural identity.
Continue on to Miho-no-Matsubara, a seven-kilometer-long coastal pine grove recognized as a UNESCO World Heritage Site. This iconic landscape has inspired Japanese poetry and art for centuries. Enjoy a peaceful walk beneath the pine trees while taking in views of the shoreline and distant mountains.
Relax on your drive back to Shimizu port as your guide recaps the day’s highlights and answers any final questions. This short yet enriching excursion offers a perfect glimpse into Japan’s natural beauty and history. Thanks for traveling with Shore Excursions Asia!

We wanted something different from the standard Celebrity Millennium tours, and this was the perfect pick. The views of Mt. Fuji from Nihondaira and Miho-no-Matsubara were absolutely stunning. The ropeway ride was smooth and scenic. Felix was incredibly helpful in arranging everything for this Shimizu shore excursion

We joined this shared tour while docked in Shimizu and loved every part of it. The Kunozan Toshogu Shrine was both peaceful and historically rich. Having Mt. Fuji as a backdrop throughout the trip made it even more memorable. A special thanks to Felix, our travel expert, who made the whole booking process easy and stress free.
Grace Mueller –
A wonderful way to explore Shizuoka. This tour offered a great mix of culture, nature, and Mt. Fuji views, all in just five hours. The small group size was perfect, and everything ran on time. Booking outside Celebrity Millennium turned out to be a great choice. Felix was very responsive and gave us all the information we needed in advance.
