Torinji Temple

Begin your sightseeing at Torinji Temple, one of the oldest and most historically significant temples on Ishigaki Island. Surrounded by lush greenery and peaceful grounds, the temple offers a quiet introduction to the island’s spiritual heritage. Its traditional wooden architecture and historic details reflect the distinct character of Okinawan Buddhism, making this a rewarding stop for guests who appreciate culture, history, and serene settings.

Wander among restored homes with red-tiled roofs, stone walls, and preserved architectural styles that reflect island life from earlier centuries. Traditional music, local performances, and cultural displays help bring Okinawan heritage to life, while the relaxed village setting offers an enjoyable and immersive experience.

Kabira Bay

Next, visit Kabira Bay, widely regarded as one of Okinawa’s most beautiful coastal landscapes. Famous for its emerald-green waters, white sandy shoreline, and black pearl cultivation, the bay is admired for both its natural beauty and elegant atmosphere. While swimming is not permitted, guests may enjoy the scenery from the shoreline or choose an optional glass-bottom boat ride to view colorful coral reefs and tropical marine life beneath the clear waters.

Banna Mountain Observation Deck
