Hanoi Highlights Tour by Vespa

FULL ITINERARY

Our guide and driver will meet you at Halong International Cruise Port and transfer you to Hanoi. Upon arrival in Hanoi, our Vespa team will greet you and provide a safety briefing and detailed itinerary overview. We’ll begin the tour by exploring the French Quarter, where you’ll visit the Opera House and learn about French colonial architecture and history.

Your Vespa rider will take you to the railway train tracks, where you'll see how locals live and work just centimeters from the tracks in tall, narrow houses. After a short Vespa ride, we’ll stop for an overview of the area, including the Presidential Palace, Parliament House, and other government offices. Our guide will share the history and stories of Hanoi. We’ll ride past the botanical garden and small alleys with narrow houses to visit Huu Tiep Lake and see the B52 crash site, a poignant reminder of the 1972 bombing raids on Hanoi.

Next, we’ll visit West Lake, one of Hanoi's largest lakes, offering beautiful city views and a glimpse of the affluent local lifestyle. We’ll head to Thanh Nien Street and stop at Truc Bach Lake to see the John McCain monument and learn about his story. We’ll ride to An Duong Market, where locals buy and sell fresh vegetables and food. You'll experience the vibrant atmosphere that typifies Hanoi. Our next ride takes us along the riverside to a hidden village on Red River Island. Here, you'll see the poorer parts of Hanoi and meet local farmers. We'll visit a local family to learn about their daily life.

We’ll drive through banana farms to see the lush vegetable fields and visit a kumquat farm, where you'll learn about these traditional Tet gifts symbolizing luck, health, wealth, fertility, and peace. After a long ride, we’ll relax and enjoy some Vietnamese coffee, including the famous egg coffee of Hanoi. Our last destination is the Long Bien Bridge, a historic structure spanning the Red River, connecting the Hoan Kiem and Long Bien districts. Only motorbikes and bicycles can cross, so we’ll take a ride over it.

Finally, we’ll head to a local restaurant to enjoy Vietnamese cuisine. After lunch, our driver will transfer you back to Halong International Cruise Port, ensuring you return in time for your ship's departure.
