Big Buddha Temple - Wat Phra Yai

Continue to Wat Phra Yai, better known as the Big Buddha Temple, one of Koh Samui’s most recognisable landmarks. The impressive golden Buddha sits high above the surrounding temple complex on a small island connected to Koh Samui by a causeway.

Guests who wish to reach the upper platform can climb the staircase to admire the Buddha at closer range and enjoy elevated views over the surrounding coastline. Please dress respectfully, with shoulders and knees covered when visiting the temple.

Wat Plai Laem

Visit Wat Plai Laem, a colourful Buddhist temple complex set around a peaceful lake. Its most striking feature is the large white statue of Guanyin, the Goddess of Mercy and Compassion, depicted with 18 arms.

Walk along the causeways and admire the elaborate religious artwork, colourful temple buildings and Thai-Chinese architectural influences that make this one of Koh Samui’s most distinctive spiritual attractions.

Lunch at a Beach Resort Restaurant

Return to Koh Samui Port

After completing your sightseeing and shopping, meet your guide and driver for the transfer back to Koh Samui port. The return journey will be arranged according to local traffic conditions and your cruise ship’s departure schedule, allowing sufficient time to reboard the vessel.
