Full Itinerary
English-Speaking-Guide waits with welcome-board and then take a scenic drive to Kyoto by chartered car. The first place of your trip is Nijo-Jo Castle served as the residence of the first shogun from the Edo Period, then became the imperial palace, and finally open to the public as a historic site. The castle is famous for its elegant traditional Japanese architecture style and beautiful garden surrounding.
Before visiting the next place, have a walk to Kinkakuji Temple (the Golden Pavillion). This three-stories temple is built to overlook the large beautiful pond which in the middle standing an islet with two idyllic trees.
The next place is Fushimi Inari Shrine, famous for its thousands of vibrant red torii gates that form scenic trails through the wooded hillside. This iconic site is dedicated to Inari, the god of rice and prosperity, and offers a unique spiritual and cultural experience.
If time permits, the final place that Asia Shore Excursions provides in this Kyoto shore excursion is Higashiyama District. This district is the best place to get a glimpse of the ancient Kyoto where home to a plenty of wooden houses, local restaurants, and traditional merchant shops along the streets. Trip ends with a return back to Kyoto port.
